Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (355 degrees Fahrenheit) and line a 20cm cake tin with a circle of baking paper.
In a bowl combine with a spoon the flour, almond meal, sugar, almond extract then add the apple sauce and almond milk.
Pour the cake batter in your baking tin.
Peel and slice your 3 apples and lay the apples on top of the cake batter forming a circle or in every way you wish. Add the silvered almonds and place in the oven.
Bake for 50 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (355 degrees Fahrenheit).
Notes
If not using self-raising flour you can use wholemeal/whole-wheat flour and add 2 tsp of baking powder. If not using apple sauce add 1/2 cup of vegetable oil of your choice and 1 cup of almond milk instead of 1/2 cup.
