Starbucks Copycat Recipes: Banana Nut Bread

This bread freezes very well and works for a breakfast on the run.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Ripe bananas (about 3)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg (or vegan alternative)
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted & cooled (or vegan alternative)
  • 1 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x5 inch loaf.
  • Blend together bananas and sugar. Next, add 1 egg and slowly pour in the cooled butter.
  • Sift dry ingredients together and add to banana mixture and stir in walnuts. Blend.
  • Pour into the loaf pan and bake in the oven. Begin checking the banana bread after 45 minutes. Loaves are done when your inserted knife comes out clean.
